How Boon Processes Referral Hires and Schedules Rewards

Boon uses data from your ATS and HRIS providers to confirm referral hires, determine reward eligibility, and schedule payments automatically.

Hire confirmation

When a candidate is marked Hired in your ATS, the next scheduled sync updates their status in the Boon Tracker. A payout is not created at this stage because Boon must first confirm the employee’s information through your HRIS.

Once the candidate is added to your HRIS, the next sync sends the relevant employee information to Boon.

Reward calculation

Boon calculates the referral reward using your configured reward rules. These rules can account for criteria such as:

• Job

• Employee level

• Employment type

• Other configured eligibility requirements

If the employee’s level or employment type changes, Boon recalculates the reward based on the updated information.

Payment scheduling

The payment due date is scheduled for 90 days after the employee’s start date. During each HRIS sync, Boon checks for changes to the start date and adjusts the payment schedule when necessary.

Referral Provider Visibility

The Referral Provider can view the upcoming payment and track its status from the member app dashboard. The reward is displayed in the currency configured for the applicable job.
