Overview

To authenticate SmartRecruiters, you will need to provide the following information:

API key

Company ID

This guide will walk you through finding or creating those credentials within SmartRecruiters.

Instructions

Step 1: Generate your API key

Sign in to SmartRecruiters, click your name in the upper-right to show the dropdown menu, and click on Settings / Admin in the menu.

Click Apps & Integrations under Administration

Select Credentials in the upper menu

Click New Credential and select API key

Add a name and description for the API key, and select Generate

Step 2: Enter your API key in the linking flow

Step 3: Enter your Company ID in the linking flow

Enter your company ID as it appears at the end of your default career site.

To find this, have an administrator go to “Settings/Admin” and click on “Career Pages & Job Ads.” The company ID appears after the / in “https://careers.smartrecruiters.com/”.

Step 4: Add the Boon Custom Candidate Source to SmartRecruiters:

To correctly Attribute the source for candidates coming from Boon, you need to create a custom source for Boon with the type OTHER (Do that in SmartRecruiters here⁠) If a different type was used then you need to communicate that with Boon’s team during the integration.

The Source type can be changed later on when the integration is live.
