How do I close out referrals for archived or closed job requisitions?

When a job requisition is closed or archived in your ATS, you may still receive referral activity or email notifications for those roles in Boon. This can happen when referrals remain in active statuses (such as New Referral, Applied, or Interviewing) even after the associated job has been archived.

Answer

If you are receiving referral notifications for a job that has already been closed on the back end, the first step is to check the status of the job in Boon. Jobs that have been archived in Boon will no longer be available for new referrals.

To close out or archive a job listing in Boon:

  1. Navigate to your Jobs dashboard in Boon.

  2. Search for the relevant job requisition using the search bar.

  3. Check the Status column to confirm whether the job is still listed as active or has already been archived.

  4. If the job is still active, update its status to Archived to prevent new referrals from being submitted.
